Show description:
I play mostly newish independent music. I'm very much into what's being released at the moment; seeing what's hot and what's not ;) I'm not a nazi about it and will play Elliott Smith, Unwound, Morrissey and Bowie if I feel like it, but my overall theme is playing new stuff, preferrably of the indie nature. Hopefully, get some bands in to do acoustic sets when possible. Gossip segment, interacting with listeners and overall fun.

Bio:
Amelia, also monikered "Mels" by her band of monkey brothers, was lost in the Congo as a newborn baby by her safari crazy parents. She didn't taste so good so a bunch of chimps ended up grooming her for the alpha male position in the troop. When the chimps were captured to become performers for a traveling french circus, Mels was so alpha she was left behind. Shifty Mels followed them tho and was eventually smuggled into the circus cage by the troop matriarch so she could be with her kind. She hid under hay where she would spend days and nights listening to carnival music and watching her chimp kin do the cancan dance in tutus. Who knew chimps could get crunk?! She eventually picked up the accordian, joined the chimp act and got a scholarship to the USC school of music. She now works as a social services worker by day and a poo flinging accodian player in cancan regalia whilst smoking like a chimney by night."
