Bio:
Jim's musical background is both about variety and quality. Most of the things he grew to love at various stages of life are things he still loves: '80s punk, Blues, '70s funk, jazz of all types, Romantic era symphonies, 20th century Avant-garde works, sothern rock, trance... it's all in there. Things don't go out of style in his mind, and sticking to a style seems silly. His first album was Hotel California by the Eagles. His first CD was a compilation of Wagner opera excerpts. As a musician, he has studied trombone and taught high school students, as well as played with big bands throughout southern california. He's shared the bandstand with jazz greats such as Bill Watrous, Louis Belson, and Buddy Childers, and has played in the brass section with several punk, pop and funk bands.
